About Campaign Paintball — 40 Years in Cobham, Surrey
40 Years of Brilliant Days Out
Family-run since 1986. Still in the forest. Still loving every minute of it.

The Campaign Story
In 1986, Lawrence Barwick and Jim Sennett started Campaign with 20 paintball guns and an old army tent in a patch of Surrey forest. The idea was simple: give people the best day out they could, and run it properly.
Nearly four decades on, that army tent has become one of the UK’s premier outdoor activity centres — 100 acres of forest, 12 movie-set game zones, and thousands of visitors every year. We’ve hosted birthday parties, school trips, corporate away days, stag weekends, Royalty and the occasional Hollywood A-lister.
But the approach hasn’t changed. It’s still Lawrence and Jim’s business. It’s still family-run. And the philosophy is still the same: brilliant fun, properly organised, with a personal touch you won’t find at the big chains.

The People Behind the Paint

Co-Founder Lawrence is the operational backbone of Campaign — and also its unofficial head chef. His BBQ chicken with the "secret sauce" is legendary among regulars and corporate clients. Always up for a chat about food, the forest, or how to make your event perfect.

Co-Founder Jim's been at the heart of Campaign since day one. He's the person you'll probably speak to when you call to book, and the person you'll likely bump into if you visit on a weekend. When he's not shaping the next big idea for the park, he's out running or cycling through the Surrey Hills.
Plus a dedicated team of marshals who genuinely love what they do. They're the reason kids go home buzzing, parents keep coming back, and corporate groups are still talking about it months later.

100 Acres of Forest. 12 Movie-Set Game Zones.
What started with an army tent in the woods is now one of the largest outdoor activity venues in the south of England.
A full-scale Wild West town. WW1 trenches. A 30ft zombie tower. Military convoys. Jungle combat zones. Every zone is designed to feel like stepping onto a film set — because several of them have actually been used as one.
Between games, there’s the Log Lodge — cosy covered shelter, crackling log burner, free WiFi, and tea and coffee on tap. It’s where parents recharge, teams debrief, and birthday cakes meet their end.
Some Familiar Faces
Over nearly 40 years, we've welcomed a few well-known visitors to the forest.
