D-Day
The whistle blows.
Your squad breaks cover and sprints across open ground toward the first line of trenches.
Incoming fire from the pillboxes.
Someone drops.
You slide into a trench, chest heaving, paint spattering the sandbags above your head.
Ahead: a maze of trenches, tank traps, and barbed wire.
Behind: the rest of your team, pinned down and waiting for someone to make a move.
The smoke launcher fires.
A grey cloud drifts across the battlefield.
This is your moment.
D-Day is the most intense zone we run.
The attackers have numbers but zero cover.
The defenders have the fortifications but can be overwhelmed.
It demands coordination, communication, and the nerve to go over the top when everything in your body says stay down.
