Everything you need to know

Why Scouts & Guides Choose Campaign
Scouting and guiding is built on outdoor adventure — and paintball and laser tag deliver it in a way that every member of the pack will remember. We’ve been hosting scout groups, guide units, cub packs, and brownie groups since the 1980s, and we know what leaders need: an activity that’s brilliantly fun, genuinely developmental, and requires almost no admin from you.
Cubs and brownies from age 7 can play laser tag — lightweight equipment, no physical impact, pure outdoor excitement. Scouts and guides from age 8 get low-impact mini paintball. Explorers and rangers aged 15+ play the full adult experience. Every session is age-appropriate, fully supervised, and run by marshals experienced with youth groups.
The game scenarios naturally develop teamwork, communication, and leadership — skills your programme is already built around. Except here, they’re learning them while storming a Wild West town or defending a military bunker. It’s badge work disguised as the best outing of the year.

Adventure That Means Something
Scouting and guiding is built on outdoor adventure, teamwork, and pushing your comfort zone. Paintball and laser tag deliver all three in a way that resonates with every age group — from cubs nervously holding their first laser tag gun to explorer scouts tactically flanking through woodland trails.
Our game scenarios naturally develop the skills your programme is built around. Communication under pressure. Leadership when it matters. Supporting your team even when things aren’t going to plan. It’s badge work and character building disguised as the best afternoon of the year.
We’ve hosted packs, troops, and units since the 1980s and we understand what leaders need: minimal admin, maximum engagement, and everyone home safe and buzzing.
What Leaders Say

A Note for Leaders
We need at least one warranted leader on-site throughout. Your organisation’s usual ratios apply — our marshals run the activity but safeguarding responsibility stays with the leadership team.
Risk assessments are available on request for your GSL, DC, or county team. We hold comprehensive public liability insurance and all marshals are DBS checked.
Consent: we provide a template form you can issue to parents. The organising leader signs a single group consent on the day.

Got Questions?
Here's what scout and guide leaders usually ask.
Laser tag starts at age 7, so cubs and brownies can play. Mini paintball is for ages 8–10. Junior paintball covers 11–14 (scouts and guides). Explorers and rangers aged 15+ get the full adult experience. We match the activity and equipment to the age group.
Yes. Full risk assessments are available on request for your GSL, DC, or county team. We hold comprehensive public liability insurance, all marshals are DBS checked and first-aid trained, and we’ve been running youth group sessions for nearly 40 years.
Very common with scout groups. If your pack includes cubs and scouts, we can run laser tag for the younger members and paintball for the older ones simultaneously, or run everyone together on laser tag. We’ll work out the best approach based on your numbers and ages.
Follow your organisation’s standard adult-to-child ratios. Our marshals supervise the activity itself, but safeguarding responsibility remains with the leadership team. Leaders are welcome to participate in the games, watch from the zones, or relax in the Log Lodge.
Mini paintball for 8–10 year olds uses low-impact paintballs — smaller, lighter, and designed to sting far less than standard ones. Full body armour, padded combat suits, and full-head goggles are mandatory. Most children say it barely hurts at all once the adrenaline kicks in.
Absolutely. We regularly host scout and guide groups as part of camp programmes or pack holidays. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. Contact us with your dates and we’ll check availability.
Long sleeves, long trousers, and sturdy shoes — old clothes they don’t mind getting muddy. We provide all equipment. No jewellery or valuables. A change of clothes and shoes for afterwards is a good idea. Packed lunches if you’re not ordering food through us.
Many leaders use our sessions as part of their programme — particularly for teamwork, outdoor adventure, and physical activity badges. We can provide a brief report on the group’s participation if that’s helpful for your records. Speak to us about your specific requirements.
