Top Paintball Tips

Worried about getting shot
We have all heard the tales; being shot with a paintball leaves a bruise the size of a coconut! There might have been a small amount of truth back in the eighties when things were less regulated, and the paintballs were larger and of inferior quality. However, paintball is now a mainstream sport; Campaign provides everyone with all the modern equipment, including body armour, full head protection goggles and uses the new low-impact paintballs. Paintball is now played by 8 to 85-year-olds, so it can’t be all that bad!

Paintball and Laser Tag are the perfect activities for those who prefer to use their wit instead of their brawn. You don’t need to be a fitness freak to join in on the fun unless you count the occasional sprint to avoid getting shot in the rear.

Whether you’re a graceful gazelle or a clumsy chicken, you can hop, skip, and jump to your heart’s content. But if you’re feeling fancy, you can also flex your strategic muscles and collaborate with your teammates to dominate the battlefield.

And if all else fails, well, there’s always the good old bush-hiding technique. It’s entirely up to you!

Common sense stuff: wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear – trainers are ideal, or lightweight walking shoes. No sandals or flip-flops! We also recommend a thin pair of gloves, especially if it is cold.

Photo opportunities
There are some great photo opportunities when you are here at Campaign. Team photos, Selphie’s, action shots. Some people even bring ‘Go-pro’ video cameras.

Keep your belongings safe.
Please ensure your belongings are safe and will not fall out of your pockets. If you are in doubt, use one of our lockers. A £5 deposit is required for a key. Paintball tip: Bring a refillable water bottle you can top up when needed.

Arrive on time!
No need to arrive half an hour early (you will just be waiting), but please arrive on time or 10 minutes before. Check Google maps before you leave home.

Bad weather closures
Campaign operates in almost any weather. However, occasionally (twice in 20 years), we will have to close at short notice because of terrible weather; this could include snow, ice or flooding, which makes the access roads to us either un-passable or unsafe. If this happens, we will contact you, and if we do have to cancel your booking, you will have the opportunity to rebook later.
